Shri Lokesh Chandra Appointed Govt Nominee Director at MOIL

MOIL Limited has announced the appointment of Shri Lokesh Chandra, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary (Mines), Government of Maharashtra, as a Government Nominee Director on its Board. The appointment is effective from August 6, 2026, and will continue until March 6, 2027, or until further orders. Shri Lokesh Chandra is an experienced IAS officer with a background in Civil Engineering and M. Tech from IIT Delhi. He has held significant positions including Additional Chief Secretary (Mines) in Maharashtra, Chairman and Managing Director of MSEDCL, Chairman of CIDCO, Commissioner of Nagpur Municipal Corporation, and Collector of Nagpur, Bhandara, and Gondia districts. He also served the Central Government as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Steel and Director in the Ministry of Power. Shri Chandra is not related to any existing Director or Key Managerial Personnel of MOIL and is not disqualified from holding the directorship.
