NLC India Ltd partners with Indian Oil for Renewable Energy projects

NLC India Limited (NLCIL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) to form a Joint Venture (JV) for developing large-scale Renewable Energy (RE) projects in Tamil Nadu. The JV will focus on solar, wind, and hybrid power projects, potentially including energy storage solutions like battery and pumped storage. These projects aim to supply renewable power to third parties, C&I consumers, Discoms, and energy exchanges, supporting applications like e-mobility and green synthetic fuels. This collaboration aligns with India's clean energy transition goals and the vision of "Viksit Bharat" and Net Zero Carbon.
