Oil India, MCD Sign MoU for Compressed Bio-Gas Plants in Delhi

Oil India Limited (OIL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to establish Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) plants utilizing segregated organic municipal solid waste in Delhi. The initiative aims to convert waste into renewable energy, reduce landfill dependency, and support India's energy transition goals. Initially, two plants with capacities of 500 TPD and 300 TPD are planned, expected to produce 30-32 TPD of CBG. This partnership aligns with OIL's strategy to expand its waste-to-energy portfolio and contribute to national objectives like Swachh Bharat Mission and Net Zero.
