
Rainbow Children's to build 100-bed Mumbai hospital, LLP takes 24% stake
Rainbow Children's Medicare Ltd (RCML) is developing a new 100-bed children and women’s hospital in Malad, Mumbai, through its subsidiary, Rainbow Women & Children's Hospital Private Limited (RWCHPL). The project, estimated at ₹90 Crore and funded by internal accruals, involves Fountainhead TCHM Healthcare LLP acquiring a 24% equity stake in RWCHPL. This transaction will change RWCHPL's status from a wholly-owned subsidiary to a 76% owned subsidiary, with RCML retaining control. The new hospital, expected to be commissioned by Q1 FY27-28, aims to expand RCML's specialized healthcare network in Maharashtra, complementing its Pune facility and establishing a regional hub-and-spoke model.
