Tata Power Renewables Utility Portfolio Hits 12.3 GW

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) has commissioned a 100 MW Group Captive Solar Project in Kayathar, Tamil Nadu. This brings TPREL's total utility portfolio to 12.3 GW and surpasses the 7 GW operational capacity milestone. The project utilizes India's first-of-its-kind FTC Single Axis Tracker technology and will generate 240.63 MUs of clean energy annually, offsetting 1.5 lakh tonnes of CO₂. The operational capacity comprises 5.7 GW solar and 1.3 GW wind assets, with an additional 5.3 GW pipeline under development. This expansion reinforces TPREL's leadership in India's clean energy transition and supports the nation's 500 GW non-fossil fuel capacity target by 2030.
