Torrent Pharma completes J. B. Chemicals amalgamation

Torrent Pharmaceuticals Limited has announced the effective date of the scheme of amalgamation of J. B. Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Limited with Torrent Pharmaceuticals Limited. The scheme, approved by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) on July 6, 2026, became effective on July 8, 2026, after filing certified copies with the Registrar of Companies. J. B. Chemicals now stands amalgamated into Torrent Pharma. The appointed date for the amalgamation is January 21, 2026. Consequently, Torrent Pharma's capital clause in its Memorandum of Association has been amended to reflect the new structure, with authorized capital now at ₹2,553,000,000 divided into equity and preference shares.
