Torrent Pharma completes J.B. Chemicals amalgamation
Torrent Pharmaceuticals Limited has announced the completion of its amalgamation with J. B. Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Limited, effective July 8, 2026. The scheme, approved by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) on July 6, 2026, was filed with the Registrar of Companies on July 8, 2026. Consequently, J. B. Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Limited stands dissolved and amalgamated into Torrent Pharmaceuticals. The appointed date for the amalgamation is January 21, 2026. Following the amalgamation, Torrent Pharma's Memorandum of Association has been amended, increasing its authorized capital to ₹2,553,000,000, comprising 460,600,000 equity shares of ₹5 each and 2,500,000 preference shares of ₹100 each.
