Uno Minda Invests ₹320 Cr in New Seating Systems Plant

Uno Minda Limited is strategically expanding into the Four-Wheeler (4W) Passenger Vehicle Seating Systems segment, a high-value product category. The company announced the establishment of a new greenfield manufacturing facility in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, with an investment of approximately ₹320 crore. This expansion, executed through its Joint Venture, Uno Minda Tachi-S Seating Private Limited, with Japan's TACHI-S Company Limited, aims to significantly increase per-vehicle revenue. The JV has already secured an anchor customer order from a leading OEM, validating the company's capabilities. The new facility is expected to commence operations by Q4FY28, marking a significant step up the automotive value chain.
