NTPC Green Energy Ltd's wholly owned subsidiary, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), will develop a 250 MW Solar Power Project integrated with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) on vacant defence land in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh. This project, approved by the Defence Minister, is the first large-scale solar-BESS initiative aimed at enhancing the energy security of defence establishments. The generated power will be supplied to various defence facilities in Uttar Pradesh.

NTPC Green Energy Ltd announces that the eighth and last part capacity of 105 MW out of the 1200 MW Khavda-II Solar PV Project in Gujarat, developed by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, has been declared commercially operational effective 28.05.2026. Following this addition, the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group's commercial capacity now stands at 10,516.40 MW, with the total installed capacity increasing to 10,621.40 MW.

Project Eleven Renewable Power Private Limited's 12.5 MW capacity (cumulative 100 MW) and Project Sixteen Renewable Power Private Limited's 50 MW capacity (cumulative 200 MW), both solar projects in Rajasthan, began operations on May 15, 2026. This addition increases NTPC Green Energy Limited Group's total installed capacity to 10,516.40 MW.

NTPC Green Energy Limited announced that 87.50 MW of its 150 MW solar project in Rajasthan has been declared commercially operational as of April 19, 2026. This capacity addition comes from Project Eleven Renewable Power Private Limited, a step-down subsidiary of the ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited joint venture. With this new capacity, the total installed capacity for the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group increases from 10,276.40 MW to 10,363.90 MW.

NTPC Green Energy Limited announced that 150 MW of its 300 MW solar project in Rajasthan has been declared commercially operational as of April 18, 2026. This project is held by Project Sixteen Renewable Power Private Limited, a step-down subsidiary of the joint venture ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited. This addition increases the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group's total installed commercial capacity from 10,126.40 MW to 10,276.40 MW, enhancing its renewable energy portfolio.

NTPC Green Energy Ltd. has declared the commercial operation of 37.5 MW solar and 13.2 MW wind capacity from the fourth and seventh parts of the total installed capacity of 150 MW solar and 100 MW hybrid projects located in Gujarat. These projects are owned by Ayana Renewable Power Four Private Limited, a step-down subsidiary of the joint venture ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited. The current commercial capacity of NTPC Green Energy Limited Group stands at 10,075.70 MW, and with the addition of these capacities, the total installed capacity will increase to 10,126.40 MW.
