Indian Bank has confirmed the timely payment of interest on its Long Term Infrastructure Bonds Series I (ISIN - INE562A08099). The bank duly paid an interest amount of ₹362,00,00,000/- on the due date of September 15, 2026. This payment was made on the succeeding business day due to the original due date falling on a weekend and a holiday, as per the terms of the Offer Document. The last interest payment for these bonds was made on September 15, 2025. The issue size for these bonds was ₹5000 Crore, with an annual interest payment frequency.

Indian Bank has been notified by the United Forum of Bank Unions (U.F.B.U.), an umbrella organization of seven bank unions, of their decision to go on strike. The proposed strike dates include September 11, 2026, September 28-30, 2026, and a continuous strike starting October 26, 2026. These actions are in response to various unresolved issues and demands raised by the unions. While the bank has stated it is making arrangements for smooth operations, there is a possibility that branch and office functioning could be affected if the strike materializes.

Indian Bank announced its intention to divest up to 15,00,000 equity shares, representing 17.91% of its holding in the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE). This sale will be conducted through an Offer for Sale (OFS) as part of NSE's proposed Initial Public Offering (IPO). The consent letter for this transaction was executed on September 9, 2026, with the sale expected to be completed by the end of September 2026. The dividend received from NSE for FY 2025-26 was ₹29,31,25,000. The consideration for the sale will be received post the OFS process. This transaction is not considered a related party transaction.

Indian Bank has disclosed that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has imposed a monetary penalty of ₹1,88,600 on its Currency Chest in Satna. The penalty is for irregularities in soiled note remittance. The bank stated that this penalty is related to routine operational activities and, considering the bank's overall operational size, it is not expected to have a material impact on the bank or its profitability.

Indian Bank's Asset Liability Management Committee (ALCO) has revised the Treasury Bills Linked Lending Rate (TBLR). The rates for tenors of <= 3 months, >3 months & <=6 months, >6 months & <=1 year, and >1 year & <=3 Years have been adjusted. The revised TBLR becomes effective from September 3, 2026. Other benchmark rates including MCLR, Base Rate, and BPLR remain unchanged.

Indian Bank's GIFT City Branch has successfully raised long-term USD funds amounting to $400 Million. The facility agreement and value date are both set for August 18, 2026, with a tenor of 4 years. This strategic move is aimed at strengthening the bank's long-term funding capabilities and supporting its international operations.

Indian Bank announced the appointment of Shri Somesh Biswas as a Part-time Non-Official Director on its Board. The appointment, made by the Central Government, is effective from August 12, 2026, for a term of three years or until further orders. Shri Biswas holds a Master of Arts and a Law degree, and brings 34 years of experience from the Life Insurance Corporation of India, where he worked as a programmer. He is not related to any existing directors and is not debarred from holding a directorship.

Indian Bank has announced the record dates for the yearly interest payments on its outstanding Long Term Infrastructure Bonds (LTB) Series I and Series II. For Series I (ISIN- INE562A08099), the record date is 29.08.2026, with interest payment due on 15.09.2026. For Series II (ISIN- INE562A08107), the record date is 12.10.2026, with interest payment due on 26.10.2026. Adjustments to record dates have been made for non-business days as per the offer documents.

Indian Bank's Asset Liability Management Committee (ALCO) has decided to revise its Treasury Bills Linked Lending Rate (TBLR). The rates for tenors greater than 3 months and up to 1 year have been reduced. Specifically, the TBLR for tenors between >3 months & <=6 months is now 5.50% (down from 5.55%), and for tenors between >6 months & <=1 year, it is 5.65% (down from 5.85%). Rates for <=3 months tenor remain unchanged at 5.30%. Rates for >1 year & <=3 Years have also been revised to 5.65%. The revised TBLR is effective from August 3, 2026. Marginal Cost of funds based Lending Rate (MCLR), Base Rate, and Benchmark Prime Lending Rate (BPLR) remain unchanged.

Indian Bank has announced changes in its senior management personnel, with Shri Himanshu Kansal moving to Chief General Manager- CMC & Recovery and Shri Deepak Gupta taking over as Chief General Manager- Corporate Credit & Mid Corporate Credit. Both individuals bring over 31 years of extensive banking experience. Shri Kansal is an engineering graduate with post-graduate diplomas in Finance Management, International Banking & Finance, and Treasury Investment & Risk Management, and is a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB). Shri Gupta holds an MBA, B.Com, and CAIIB. These assignments are effective from August 1, 2026.
