Indian Bank reported its unaudited financial results for the first quarter of FY 2026-27 ended June 30, 2026. The bank witnessed a 10.09% year-on-year increase in net profit, reaching ₹3273 Cr. Total business grew by 13.66%, with gross advances up 13.89% and deposits rising 13.47%. The CASA share remained robust at 39.73%. Asset quality improved, with the GNPA ratio decreasing to 1.86%. Operating profit saw a significant 16.50% YoY rise. The bank also highlighted strong digital transaction share at 95% and improved cost-to-income ratio.

Indian Bank delivered strong operational performance in Q1 FY-2027, with consolidated net profit reaching ₹3,357 Cr, up 48.7% year-on-year and 7.8% sequentially. Total income grew 11.1% YoY to ₹20,997 Cr, tracking toward management guidance of 11–13% advance growth. The result benefited partly from absence of prior-year exceptional loss (₹766.59 Cr headwind in Q1 FY-26), but underlying operational metrics are solid: revenue momentum is steady, net profit margin expanded from 11.73% to 15.71% YoY, and operating profit margin climbed to 26.61% from 25.34%. Deposit growth of 13.5% YoY significantly exceeded the guided 9–11% band, signaling strong deposit franchise. Asset quality improved materially, with gross NPA ratio falling to 1.86% from 3.01% YoY, while provision coverage remained robust at 98.22%. Advances grew 2.8% sequentially to ₹672,903 Cr, consistent with full-year guidance. EPS surged to ₹24.92 from ₹16.90 YoY. Capital adequacy ratio (Basel III) remained solid at 17.80%, providing buffer for growth. The quarter shows clean execution with no one-offs, margin expansion despite anticipated NIM headwinds, and beat on deposit growth—positioning the bank favorably for the full year.

Indian Bank held its 20th Annual General Meeting on June 17, 2026, via video conferencing. The bank reported a total business of ₹14.95 lakh Crore for FY 2025-26, a 12.79% year-on-year growth. Deposits grew by 12.29% to ₹8.28 lakh Crore, and gross advances increased by 13.43% to ₹6.67 lakh Crore, maintaining a credit-deposit ratio of nearly 81%. Indian Bank has announced that its Board of Directors will convene on July 10, 2026, to consider and approve the Unaudited (Reviewed) Standalone and Consolidated Financial Results for the First Quarter (Q1) of FY 2026-27, ending June 30, 2026. Concurrently, the trading window for directors and designated persons, which was closed from July 1, 2026, will reopen on July 13, 2026, in compliance with SEBI regulations regarding insider trading.

Indian Bank's Asset Liability Management Committee (ALCO) has revised its Treasury Bills Linked Lending Rate (TBLR). The TBLR for tenors of <= 3 months has been reduced from 5.35% to 5.30%. For tenors between >6 months and <=1 year, and >1 year to <=3 Years, the TBLR has been increased from 5.75% to 5.85%. Rates for tenors >3 months &<=6 months remain unchanged at 5.55%. The Marginal Cost of Funds based Lending Rate (MCLR), Base Rate, and Benchmark Prime Lending Rate (BPLR) have been kept unchanged. The revised TBLR rates are effective from July 3, 2026.

Indian Bank has announced the retirement of Shri Sudhanshu Gaur, General Manager of the International Banking Division. Mr. Gaur demitted office on June 30, 2026, upon superannuation. Consequently, he ceases to be a Senior Management Personnel of the bank effective July 1, 2026. This change is in compliance with SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

Indian Bank has released its provisional business figures as of June 30, 2026. Total business reached ₹15.28 Lakh Crore, a 13.6% year-on-year growth. Total deposits grew by 13.3% YoY to ₹8.43 Lakh Crore, with CASA deposits showing a significant 26.3% YoY increase to ₹0.48 Lakh Crore. Gross advances increased by 13.9% YoY to ₹6.85 Lakh Crore. Retail, Agriculture, and MSME (RAM) domestic advances also saw a healthy 14.8% YoY growth to ₹4.17 Lakh Crore. The CASA ratio (Domestic) stood at 39.64%. These figures are subject to review by the Statutory Central Auditors.

Indian Bank has announced the closure of its trading window for dealings in listed securities, including shares and bonds. This restriction will be in effect from July 1, 2026, and applies to Directors and Designated Persons of the bank. The window will reopen 48 hours after the declaration of the bank's financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2026-27, which ends on June 30, 2026. This measure is in compliance with SEBI (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations, 2015, as amended, to prevent potential insider trading activities.

Indian Bank has revised its Marginal Cost of Funds based Lending Rate (MCLR) and Treasury Bills Linked Lending Rates (TBLR), effective from June 3, 2026. The Asset Liability Management Committee (ALCO) made the decision after review. Base Rate, Benchmark Prime Lending Rate (BPLR), Policy Repo Rate and RBLR remain unchanged. The revisions impact various tenors of MCLR and TBLR, with increases observed in most categories.

Indian Bank has announced its 20th Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled to be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, via video conferencing and other audio-visual means. The meeting is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. (IST). The notice includes important dates such as the last date for speaker registration, cut-off date for shareholder voting eligibility, remote e-voting dates, record date for dividend, annual book closure dates, and dividend payment date.
