Tata Power Renewables breaks ground on 800 MW RE project in AP

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) has commenced construction on an 800 MW renewable energy project in Andhra Pradesh. The project, a significant milestone for the company's clean energy transition, involves an investment of ₹5,750 crore. It will comprise 400 MW of solar capacity and 400 MW of wind power capacity. The wind component will be developed by Suzlon. The project is expected to generate employment for 4,000 local people and will utilize 3,462 acres of land. This initiative aligns with the Andhra Pradesh Integrated Clean Energy (ICE) Policy and aims to accelerate renewable capacity addition in the state.
